Your Life, Your Choice
Essex is taking part in a national research project for the Office for Disability Issues (ODI).
This is part of a project called ‘Support, Advocacy and Brokerage’: it is about older and disabled people having more choice and control.
We are looking for service users who may want to take part in the project.
We would like to meet anyone who has had a support plan or a review. Maybe you’ve had support from social services or a care manager to do your planning; maybe you’ve had support from Essex Coalition of Disabled People (ECDP).
Taking part means:
• Meeting up with one of the researchers for about an hour (probably in your own home, but wherever you choose).
• Talking, in confidence, about your own experiences.
• Keeping in touch to let us know how it’s going in six months’ time.
• We’d be able to give people a £30 voucher as a gift, to say thank you, each time we meet.
