The Tasty Food Company
The Tasty Food Company – This is the private chilled meal service that the Authority can signpost people to if they do not meet the FACS criteria. This service was formally launched on the 18 th November 2008. Food for ethnic minority groups is available but it will be frozen food rather than chilled meals provided.
This service is currently available from the Pitsea and Loughton kitchens and at this time only covers South Essex e.g. as a rule South Chelmsford and below. If you would like someone from The Tasty Food Company to visit your team to distribute information or undertake a food tasting session then please use the contact details below. Maggie Chimes is the Manager of the service.

For more information, including menu options and which specific postcodes they will deliver to please see the attached information. This is an evolving service and over time the menu will be further developed. If the service proves popular and viable the WRVS will consider launching the private service in the North of the County.
