Employing your own staff

I have quite a lot of experience in this field and this is quite simple.

You have been allotted your funding from Essex Social Care, right the next thing to do is to draw up a list of what you would like your member of staff to do!

This is called a contract of employment, best to keep it simple as it avoid complications later on, It is advisable to take out insurance as this protects you the employer.

You also have several choices when it comes to payroll - this is how you pay your staff.

You can do it yourself - using a simple programme from the HRMC
or you can use an organisation like the Essex Pass - I do it myself as i am a trained bookkeeper.

If you want more advise come along to a meeting or speak to Debbie Frisby at Essex Coalition of Disable People
